As a Security Officer Hospital Welcome Desk in Middletown, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location where you will serve as a welcoming front desk presence, helping to support access control, visitor management, and other security-related responsibilities. In this customer-facing role, you will use strong communication and professionalism to assist staff, patients, and guests while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital-required vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor check-in activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, verify identification and credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, patients, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of front desk activity, document observations and incidents, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or policy concerns through proper channels.
  • Support a welcoming healthcare environment by assisting with directions, managing visitor flow, and following post orders and security-related protocols for the location.
