About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Rover in Milton, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while adapting to the needs of the location each day.

Requirements

  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • The ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Assist with access control activities by monitoring entrances, checking identification when required, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed reports, and communicate relevant information with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
