As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and partner with site teams to maintain orderly operations. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disorderly conduct, and unauthorized persons, and report findings through the required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital units, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, confirming authorization for restricted areas, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and/or waiting areas.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift logs and incident reports, and relay security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
