About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Must be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Must be willing to work in hospital areas that may include the morgue.
Must be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while documenting security-related concerns and reporting them through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
Assist with monitoring entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site policies, while offering directions and support to guests and staff as needed.
Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with healthcare personnel, following post orders, and completing assigned security-related duties across varying conditions and schedules.
