Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while helping staff, patients, and visitors throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals, as required in a hospital environment.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control activities by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, and helping to direct visitors and vendors according to site protocols.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy-related issues accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
