About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe facility activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior while supporting daily operations.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
