Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
