Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. In this role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while helping staff, patients, and visitors throughout the location.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Required hospital vaccines must be completed or provided as applicable.
  • Ability to work in and around a hospital morgue is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting of unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, support staff with security-related requests, and document incidents, observations, and/or policy violations in a timely manner.
  • Assist with handling medical facility protocols such as restricted area monitoring, after-hours access activity, and coordination with site contacts during urgent events.
