As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hospital campus, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, directing visitors and vendors in accordance with location protocols and visitor management practices.
  • Support staff during routine and unexpected situations by communicating clearly, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and following Allied Universal post orders and incident response procedures.
