As a Security Officer in a government healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- Vaccinations are required for hospital settings.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a government healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, assist with visitor screening and directions, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate professionally with site staff and emergency responders.
