As a Security Officer Hospital Access Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residential areas, parking locations, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy concerns, and security-related incidents to the appropriate contacts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site personnel, and local responders as needed.
