As a Security Officer Hospital Morgue Patrol in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Hospital Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate site personnel and first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and access-related questions as needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and security-related concerns to supervisors and designated site contacts.
