Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter grounds, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to verify authorized entry, provide directions, and/or address policy questions with professionalism and respect.
  • Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, observing for environmental hazards or policy violations, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency responders when appropriate.
