About The Position

As a Security Officer Healthcare Reception Desk in Glen Burnie, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, and documenting entry in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with staff, visitors, and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Support front desk operations by answering questions, directing foot traffic, monitoring cameras and/or alarm activity, and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions through consistent presence, attentive observation, and thorough incident documentation.
