About The Position

As a Security Officer GSOC Dispatcher Government Site in Costa Mesa, California, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. In this dispatch role, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and support timely responses across the location. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and customer service skills will help maintain a secure environment and deter security-related incidents. This is a full-time position paying $29.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch routine and emergency calls for service to appropriate personnel and/or responders.
• Monitor communication systems, alarms, cameras, and access activity; maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating information according to site-specific procedures.
• Coordinate communications with onsite personnel and external responders as directed to support orderly operations at a technology-focused location.
