About The Position

As a Security Officer Government Building Patrol in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at an innovative technology-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, and designated restricted areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and site concerns to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate client contacts in accordance with established reporting procedures.
