About The Position

As a Security Officer Government Building Patrol in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols throughout an innovative technology-focused location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. Requirements

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders.
