About The Position

As a Security Officer General Duty in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic manufacturing and public service location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and following site protocols for deliveries, contractors, and/or guests.
Support location operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with the public and/or employees, and assisting with security-related checks of gates, doors, lighting, and exterior areas.
