About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Xray Specialist in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government airport location, you will support a professional, welcoming environment by screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate clearly with travelers and staff, and deliver responsive service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Guard card is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport development location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or equipment entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and authorizations for access to restricted or controlled areas, reporting discrepancies through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport facilities, access points, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
