About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Terminal X Ray in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government airport development location, you will conduct access screening, monitor entry points, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with visitors and personnel, and help support orderly operations. Requirements

Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Guard card is required.
Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport development location.
Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control procedures and applicable site requirements.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport development areas and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
