As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Registration in North Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage visitor and employee entry, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access points to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and use computer-based systems to document activity. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, credentials, authorization, and visitor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, alarms, and access-control systems; report irregularities and follow established escalation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, facility buildings, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
