As a Security Officer Visitor Registration in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Screen vehicles and personnel entering and leaving the facility in accordance with site procedures, including reviewing shipping and receiving documentation as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
