About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Inspector in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings in accordance with site procedures, using screening equipment and maintaining appropriate access-control protocols.
  • Verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and direct guests to designated check-in or delivery areas.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
