As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Shakopee, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, production spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify concerns and report security-related issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and relay important updates during shift changes and/or to site leadership.
