About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Control in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Dispatch Security Professional supporting a government transportation location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and help direct response to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit agency staff, passengers, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor dispatch communications, alarms, cameras, and access-control systems; document, prioritize, and relay incidents, service requests, and critical information to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate communications with field personnel, transit operations, law enforcement, fire, medical, and other emergency responders during routine and urgent situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification protocols.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities and perimeter areas when required.
