About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Systems Operator in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials and authorization, issue or retrieve visitor and contractor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entry points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
• Follow established procedures for visitor management, deliveries, restricted areas, and technology infrastructure spaces while maintaining a professional presence and protecting confidential information.
