As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Verification in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming, professional experience for employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue or collect visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen and direct incoming visitors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures, escalating access discrepancies or unauthorized-entry concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
