As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed role requiring Level III Armed Certification. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will make a meaningful impact every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter points, with attention to unusual activity and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support opening and closing activities, assist with security-related checks of doors and gates, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
