As a Security Officer Armed - Full Time in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify authorization as directed, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support hospital operations by assisting with de-escalation, documenting incidents, and coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders when needed.
