Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting conditions that could impact personnel, equipment, and/or operations.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify entry authorizations for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with site protocols and regulatory requirements.
Support emergency and outage-related response efforts by assisting with site control, directing authorized personnel, and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
