About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors, staff, and local partners while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors and vehicles in accordance with location procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
