As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will respond to situations with professionalism, conduct routine patrols, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor activity and maintain required logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public service agencies as directed.
  • Maintain awareness of assigned areas and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
