As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Pittston, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to support daily operations through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, drivers, and shipments in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
