As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. At a dynamic logistics and distribution location, Security Officers manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers while communicating professionally and documenting activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, screen authorized visitors, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle entry records.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, loading docks, trailer yards, warehouse entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate observations, access concerns, and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, completing required reports and documentation.
