About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate locations within the industrial facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Document daily activities, access-related events, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
