As a Security Officer Front Desk in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for tenants, visitors, and staff. You will manage access control and badge activities, monitor alarm panels, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees at a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
  • Monitor access points, lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
  • Maintain clear communication with building management, tenants, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required reports and daily activity logs.
