Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Overland Park, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will welcome employees and guests, manage access control, verify credentials, and monitor alarms and cameras to help identify security-related concerns early. You will communicate clearly, report incidents quickly, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology workplace.
• Staff the front desk to help manage access by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate contacts.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, access control, and alarms, and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Answer phones and handle inquiries, coordinate deliveries and service providers, and support administrative tasks tied to security-related operations.
