Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk and carrying out site-specific security-related procedures for a financial institution location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, manage front desk communications, and support reporting of security-related concerns, service requests, and daily activity documentation.
  • Observe entry points and high-traffic reception areas, report maintenance issues and/or suspicious behavior, and follow post orders and emergency response protocols as directed.
