As a Security Officer for Hospital in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, lobbies, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, as permitted by site policies.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior by monitoring activity, verifying access permissions when required, and addressing concerns through established protocols.
  • Support hospital and clinic operations by assisting with visitor direction, monitoring high-traffic areas, and communicating security-related issues, hazards, and/or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
