As a Security Officer - Full Time Hospital Patrol in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors at designated access points by following site screening procedures, verifying required credentials, and directing individuals as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations as needed, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Support access control and visitor management functions by monitoring entry points, communicating clearly with staff and guests, and reporting policy violations or screening issues.
