Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, addressing routine questions, and supporting security-related needs throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, assist with access-related procedures, and document security-related activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with site protocols.
  • Support a professional healthcare environment by communicating clearly with patients, visitors, and staff, and assisting with de-escalation during difficult interactions when appropriate.
