As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of personnel, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with inquiries related to access procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
