As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points for employees, visitors, and drivers by checking credentials, issuing badges, maintaining logs, and supporting gate and dock traffic flow. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entrances and/or gates by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in, issuing and collecting access credentials, and directing traffic flow for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage to property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, completing reports, and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading dock areas, parking areas, and perimeter; check doors and dock bay areas for irregular conditions and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
