Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location where you will support access control and security-related duties by checking credentials, issuing badges, and guiding visitors and drivers through entry procedures. You will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that may help to reduce incidents, while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to associates, vendors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a retail distribution location.
- Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, managing visitor and/or contractor logs, issuing temporary credentials, and directing traffic to appropriate check-in areas.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity, report concerns, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or site contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching appropriate resources and completing timely written reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting hazards and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them through proper channels.
