About The Position

As a Security Officer Facility Entry Screener in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies at a government facility.
  • Screen individuals, packages, bags, and personal property in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify credentials and direct visitors as appropriate.
  • Identify and report prohibited items, access concerns, unusual activity, and policy violations to designated personnel in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Maintain accurate screening-related logs, visitor records, and incident documentation while supporting a professional and orderly entry process.
