As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and guests. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, screening visitors, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, perimeter locations, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
