As a Security Officer - F/T Access Verification in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, and support daily access control operations. This role combines a visible presence, routine patrols, and strong customer service to help promote a smooth, professional environment. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important part in site security-related support.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and security-related policies for a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in processes, and report irregular access activity in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entrances, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and support order throughout the location.
  • Document daily activity, access-related events, and/or unusual conditions with clear and accurate reporting for Allied Universal and site leadership review.
