As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Role in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or site concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required by site policies, and document observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports.
  • Support access control and asset protection efforts around utility-related facilities and infrastructure by following post orders, reporting hazards and/or maintenance issues, and communicating clearly with site personnel.
