About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Verification Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security supervisor and/or manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with access control protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, and perimeter points to help identify security-related concerns and report conditions that require attention.
  • Support location operations by maintaining accurate logs, controlling access to restricted areas, and following chemical and petrochemical location procedures for personnel and vehicle movement.
