As a Security Officer Driver Entry Verification in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and other sensitive locations.
  • Screen visitors, vehicles, and deliveries according to site protocols, document arrivals and departures, and communicate access-related issues to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuation procedures and other security-related response needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, and perimeter areas to observe conditions, report hazards or policy concerns, and support overall access control operations.
